I am seeing a few weird posts on #Twitter from suspicious looking accounts that are saying that #countersocial is great and that #Mastodon is bad.
Counter.social is run by a weird right wing hacker.

My mother was interested in counter.social. I warned her away from it after digging up the story about how they broke off from Fediverse.
Anyone who deliberately lies like that, whether about open source licenses or any other subject, for something that self-serving and petty isn't trustworthy.
As for the other stuff they've done: can someone fill me in? I'd love to hear other people's stories about counter.social and the person who runs it.
