1) Dogs in coach are usually only allowed in the first rows of seats, and they are restricted to kennels.
2) I agree that at least one of the areas (coach, business, first class) should be free from pets. My advice was practical, but realize now you didn't want a workaround to the solve problem, rather a debate, right?
