Hey uhm can somebody explain to me if "software" and "software application" mean the same thing? I've got so confused with the terminology today...

@karin_artss
Software is the non-tangible component of a computer
Or
Any collection of Data or Computer instructions.

Application Softwares(shortened to Apps) are the softwares which the end-user uses.

@mur2501 WOOO I'M A COMPUTER-ISH TERM!! Okay that aside, does the front-end mean a person who programs stuff?

@karin_artss
A person who programs is called a programmer.

Front-end refers everything which a user sees or interacts with on a screen like buttons, icons, design, colours, etc. While back-end is what the user doesn't sees.
To say in terms of a car, the looks and feel of the car are it's front-end while the engine and other stuffs hidden from your eyes making your experience great is the back-end

@mur2501 Bruhhhh why such similar terms... Thanks for the car explanation btw, I'll try to remember all of this

@karin_artss
All of science and maths is filled with useless technical terms.
Mostly cause we want to look exclusive and stuffs

@mur2501 BRUH. I was lowkey shaking when I saw the video on HDD. I just had the course of electro-magnetism this year and I knew about the arrow things. Did they mention it in the book? No :DD

@karin_artss
The most misuse of useless technical terms happens in mathematics. Literally you can compress the math books 90% if you remove all useless terms and formality of statements.

@mur2501 I had this one math teacher who legit hated our books and said that he would throw so much stuff away from them 😂
