What is this derja and dareji?
I thought there was only Arabic there :ablobblewobble:

@mur2501 @westofer derja/derja/dareji is the dialects from North Africa "derived" from Arabic 😊 however they're v v different in that for example, Tunisian derja has several different Amazigh languages, French, Italian, Spanish, Maltese as influences haha! I prefer saying this rather than "Tunisian Arabic" or "Sudanese Arabic" or "Moroccan Arabic" etc because Arabs colonised North Africa and our dialects are not just made of arabic but several different sources💬

So it seems like a creole something :ablobcatangel:
Is it only spoken, or written too?
