@mur2501 @thor I would like to visit the whole India in fact, but this need at least one full time year for at least some important spots in several states. I’ve some friends from India (mostly South, Kerala, Tamil Nadu) and Sri Lanka here. Lot of Tamil speaking Srilankese in Paris, and one from Assam. Some friends get 6 month of free-time, and then visited alone India. I started to learn devanagari script, that should be a good start to understand Indian scripts, but this is a long path, more complex than cyrllic, greek or kanas (that can be learn i few days), but probably simplest than Chinese characters, that I learn for years, not really seriously, as a leisure (and try to learn japaneses/korean/vienamese variants the same way). This is not a good method, not work enough on a simple language => less chance to memorize, but beside, one language help to memorize another one when there is a huge common vocabulary.
