So that's the difference between Espresso and Latte :ablobderpy:

@mur2501 a latte is steamed milk with a shot of espresso in it, which, at least according to the instructions for my instant espresso, is 60 mL of coffee, made of Robusta beans. regular black coffee is made of Arabica beans. they taste distinctly different.

a tall latte is a big one, a short latte is a small one.

a double latte has two shots of espresso.

i usually order a short double latte, which gives you more espresso and less milk, and less liquid in total.

oh, and a cappuccino is basically the same as a latte, but with more foam on top.
@mur2501 ...and what i had just now was a double espresso, without the milk.

in Italy, they don't drink latte all the time, as i understand it. having a quick espresso and then heading off to work or what not is more common. a load-me-up shot of coffee, basically.
@mur2501 latte is just the Italian word for milk, by the way. the French word is lait and they have a drink similar to Cafe Latte called Cafe au Lait. not sure if they steam it or use Robusta beans but similar concept.
@mur2501 looks like Cafe au Lait uses hot milk. unsure if Robusta is also used, but it looks like it. so i guess it would taste very similar to a latte.
