Scientists are such gamblers. I'm trying to make a presentation for a high school class on the genetics of schizophrenia, and just to talk about "genetic risk" requires understanding probabilities--like, what are the odds of drawing a straight flush? What if you've already got a King in your hand, how does that change the odds? Much of science is betting on what you think is going on. But just like in world class poker, you gotta study and practice, to know when to hold 'em... 😁 #academics

Science was never about yes or no questions anyway (that's also what makes it different from religions in terms of giving answers)
