Why is the Kickstand Cafe the only business on the Minutemen Bikeway that seems to embrace the bikeway? Why isn’t there one of these every 3 miles along the route (even if seasonal or something?)
@crschmidt amenities on bike paths are so important and so missing.
I rode the trail from NYC to Poughkeepsie, 100 miles, and even though it went through towns there weren't even water fountains! I would have loved a cafe catering to cyclists or something. Real missed opportunity.
@astory it just feels like an own goal. Businesses that literally back up into the Bruce Freeman trail will build a between themselves and the bike path, rather than a connection. (The only exception: a Dunkin Donuts.)
@crschmidt @astory there's also the diner at the Concord train station. That goes right onto the path.
