In the spring, I will teach 175 students across 3 sections. So, recording a short, focused lecture each week and dedicating classroom sessions to hands-on problem-solving and group work makes sense.
Do you have any tactical or strategic tips for adopting a flipped classroom?
@richard_herron Making videos takes longer than you think -- about an hour per minute of video.
@peterdrake Yikes! Does the 60:1 ratio hold if you already prepared lectures and plan on low-tech screen recordings? Thanks!
@richard_herron No, that includes scripting, filming, editing, etc. If you already have a planned lecture and are going to just record it I imagine it wouldn't be nearly that long.
