Where is our gun control boardgame or video game??

@roguehireling More broadly, it's an open problem how to make interesting games where we practice doing the things we'll actually need to do to solve the world's problems rather than practicing for the fantasy where we solve our problems with personal violence.
How can we make de-escalation, maintenance, communication, and preventing crises as exciting as stopping the countdown timer at the last second?
@peterdrake Interesting question. Like you said, most games use escalation to build tension.
Most of the solutions I have seen, to replace escalation as a form of interest, are puzzles. Thinking of something like Wingspan. Many more examples out there but in board games its pretty easy to replace escalation with other goals.
In video games we don't get as many examples. Off the top of my head, Journey and Gregorio.
Then again, why can't it be a cozy game? Making the world a safer place!
