A friend of a friend was visiting Germany when a Star Trek movie came out. It was run with German subtitles. This person couldn't read German, but they could understand the English audio, so no problem ... until the scene that was in Klingon with German subtitles.
@peterdrake I had the reverse experience with Blazing Saddles. Mel Brooks saying “Lasst sie gehen” was super hilarious for me.
