whenever someone writes a song based on a story or an idea in their imagination with some imaginary characters with made-up names, people spend the next 60 years publishing articles and recording podcasts and making documentaries called like "Tracking down the real 'Person' in from the famous Song"
you'd expect these to end with like. "well obviously the person was made up, and maybe they're a composite of different people, but really it's more interesting to talk about the writer's background and how they came to be interested in the themes they're trying to portray" but more often than not instead they end with something like "we've found her!! she's 89 years old and turns out she's never even heard of the song. anyway here's her telephone number"
