If this is the same plant that have (https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dracaena_fragrans) then that plant is almost unkillable... It just doesn't like cold. I have one at home. One time I had to cut it back to it's core stem and after three years it know looks like that. With no guarantees: If you don't like how it looks then cut it back otherwise just leave it be (but it will never probably never look pretty anymore).
