Do you guys think in the future much programming will be writing specs and pseudo code and having AI translate it into a programming language? A new layer above high level programming languages?

@gpowerf depends on the detail of the psuedocode.. but wouldnt have anythibg to do with ai if done well. Psuedocode in detail can be translated to other languages easy enough. Its only when ai starts to fill in gaps that it breaks stuff a lot.
@freemo @gpowerf Also the distinction between "high level" languages and pseudocode is not an exact one. The reason I adopted python all these years ago is because it looked pretty much exactly the way I pseudocode. I went, "wow, this interprets the way I tend to describe things!"
Any sufficiently detailed and rigorous pseudocode is for all practical purposes already a high-level language. In other words, describe a task carefully enough and you basically have written a program.
