Time to do this...
I've been the Software Curator at the Computer History Museum for 15+ years. Primarily work on
preservation and collecting 20th century software
and documentation.
Previously, at Apple, leaving as a Senior Software Engineer in 2005. Worked in the Advanced Technology Group, The RISC Products group, and as one of the people who brought up new PowerPC processors. Won a CEO Technical Award in 1996. Worked on Apple's first SIGGRAPH submission "Pencil Test". Met and worked with lots of cool, smart people.
Built a collection of arcade game document scans and dumped firmware in the 90's. (the spies.com archive). MAME team member almost from its begining. Helped with SIMH.
Decided old computer docs and software was more important and started digitizing and putting my collection on line around 2000. Have been building out bitsavers.org ever since.
Prefer to stay in the background. No Wikipedia pages for me.
I Eschew interviews.
@bitsavers I greatly appreciate your work, including wiretap.spies.com.
@bitsavers @ceejbot How could I forget it? It was a major institution for more than a decade!
