I know it’s fashionable to say “Safari is the new Internet Explorer”, but I’m increasingly frustrated with Firefox being the last to implement many APIs. The lack of Intl.Segmenter in Firefox means I have to include this 112KB JavaScript library just to split text into user-perceived characters: github.com/orling/grapheme-spl

@kate To me this looks like "WebKit is the new Internet Explorer", except this time it's getting buyin from the W3C *before* adding new features the other browser doesn't support, instead of afterward. I don't know if you remember document.layers.
