@rastinza more similar to portuguese actually, but you'll can use spanish without problems (both official languages), in fact, spanish is much more used in many contexts/environments
As it happens in many european regions, culture and history do not match current borders

I'll mostly be talking English at my workplace, but for sure speaking some Galego will be useful when I'm out.
I enjoy meeting people and talking their favourite language definitely helps!
@rastinza @ghose hii. The galician is more simple than spanish in the way that we don't have present perfect or another verbal constructions. Also, if you learn galician, there's a little step to talk with our portuguese brothers and sisters.
