I briefly logged in to Twitter to delete some messages. Dear goodness, that place is a mess. Reading the timeline is like having dozens of people simultaneously yelling at you.
It seems like lots of people, including politicians and journalists, are perfectly fine with empowering a greedy corporation now owned by a crazy oligarch in order to satisfy their addiction to drama, controversy and positive reinforcement from their followers.
@aristeon I can't imaging going back to Twitter after realizing the positive attitude and energy flowing in and out of Mastodon.
However, corporations and politics are heavily invested in Twitter and they won't let go of it so easily. I predict we will see some chilling "horror stories" about Mastodon in the media over the course of the next few weeks/months.
