He has done everything short of hang himself to curry favor with Trump voters. Sometimes, I wonder why he does not do that. It would be less humiliating than what he is doing now.

@rrb @michelemccarthy I think it's greed. Greed for power, status and money.

@aristeon @michelemccarthy He does not seem to be improving his status with this. (At least in my eyes.)

@rrb @michelemccarthy greed makes people irrational. History is full of people ruining themselves because of greed.

I expect most people would draw the line at someone trying to get you and your family killed.

Maybe, I am odd. But, it definitely crosses my red line. I would have trouble forgiving someone attempting to kill me.

But, I guess he takes "turn the other cheek" to the extreme.

"Should someone try to lynch you and your family, offer other members of your family to be lynched as well."

@rrb @michelemccarthy I agree with you. But many politicians' greed is unimaginable for most people. It's just like scammers.

Why would the FTX guy create a scheme that collapsed like a house of cards? It's always greed. And when greedy people taste power and money, they become completely addicted to and obsessed with it, to the point of self-annihilation.
