Billionaires with their privately owned news media can bombard social media with their narrative dressed up as ordinary people + their own "news" where facts are presented. But the facts are either lies or key parts of facts are deliberately left out to feed their narrative of extreme & distrust. Flaming the worst & swamping the best. Private social media platforms then use algorithms to further enhance billionaire narrative.

Yes, I hate irresponsibility in speech and in action.
There're strong laws to stop dangerous actions as part of human morality. It's not the wild west. And same must be for speech too. It's not the wild west. Speech MUST be without hatred, racism & without lies. Everyone has responsibility to act AND speak civilly not just in how they say something but also content. Otherwise it's anarchy.
