Imagine a world where we could reject "efficiency" as a driving factor in our lives, workplaces, and decisions.

No need to reach for "convenient" technology solutions to make it through your tightly scheduled day that require you to sacrifice your privacy and values.

Lessened emphasis on "productivity" as the sole metric for achieving our best, at work or elsewhere.

More attention to temporally-meaningful investments in community, self-care, kinship, and rich understanding.

@cyberlyra We do ourselves a disservice if we essentialize “efficiency” as capitalist. Capitalism doesn’t deserve purview over efficiency, which pre-existed it and has all kinds of non- or de-capitalist potential. Suffering people need efficient solutions! People in love need efficient means of reuniting! Efficiency is a virtue that capital doesn’t get to own.

@sakhavi

If we merely redefine 'wealth', and thereby also 'profit', all our processes would still work, only the metric has been changed to measure planetary well-being as 'success'
