Snoring, wtf - Anyone ever noticed themselves snoring before? Is that a thing?

I've always thought I hardly ever snored (any my partner confirms this) but a couple of nights the past few weeks I have been in a weird half-asleep state, and I was aware of myself snoring. A very weird experience to have for the first time after all these years.
