Not sure if I should Follow a hashtag or pin it to a column. Any ideas?
@truthsandwich I look forward to any replies. I have the same question. I've barely scratched the surface of Mastodon's features like lists and circles.
@truthsandwich I guess I should mention that I have set up hashtag filters for #HamRadio and #MorseCode that appear to be working well.
@shuttersparks So far, what I've done is pin a column for politics or news. I've also followed individuals, and they show up in my Home column. But I also see other people in there and I'm not sure why.
@truthsandwich @shuttersparks I didn't figure out how to save hashtags. But I started lists and it helps
@Edgeoforever @truthsandwich So far today too busy with Thanksgiving prep to do any study. I set up a couple of hashtag filters about a week ago and they work well.
I'm a ham radio guy so I set up a filter for #HamRadio and another for #MorseCode. Now, any post anywhere containing either of those hashtags appears in my feed, no matter what instance, regardless of whether I follow them or not. That's just what I want and it works.
