One thing I like about Mastodon is the timed blocking feature. Over the years on various platforms I've run into situations where a ruckus resulted in blocking, which is then forgotten. And the block sits there for years and nobody remembers how it got there. I just saw it again a couple of days ago on diaspora. A user became one of the rotating hosts of a check-in list I belong to. During the first couple of days he rather ungracefully discovered he had half a dozen people on the list blocked and no clue why. Lmao.
