I make a somewhat meaningful post and fediverse is like, *crickets*.
I make a mundane post and it somehow gets boosted.
You lot are strange sometimes.

@konomikitten Hah! Well, people are still people no matter what the platform. The scenario you describe has happened to me many times. If I post something funny, or surprising, or that outrages people, it will get boosted. This is just human nature.
But at least here on Mastodon, all we have is human nature and not an artificial algorithm that's trying to stir up tempests in a teapot -- I mean, "engagement".
