First thing I like to do to a 12V portable device is add Anderson #Powerpoles to whatever adapter was provided. Perfect integration into my #hamradio power stuff.

@ad6dm Yep, done the same for 25 years. I use them for other power buses in my fixed and portable setup. red/black is the standard 12V. light-blue/black is 5V, yellow/black is 20V.
My battery systems are standardized on 20V which also happens to be what most notebook computers want. So all my notebooks and their power supplies have yellow/black Andersons.
