@knittingknots XBB. What the heck is that? Lol.
Just today I got the latest broader spectrum plus Omicron booster. And a quad flu shot at the same time.
Not sure how much it will help. I already had Omicron.
@shuttersparks A fast spreading highly infectious variant, dominant now in New England. The boosters work against it, but not as well as other variants. Same with previous infections...but its symptoms are so far on the mild side. Yeah, at least so far this year's flu shot is on the money. But I am up to date on all my vaxxes, too. Still will mask when I go out, just to be a bit safer. Hiding from Long Covid, mostly.
@knittingknots Yeah, the long-term symptoms are real. Caught it in mid-Feb of this year. multiple positive tests. Finally a clear test after 8 days. But there were after effects that I didn't even notice until they went away. The last one to go away was a brain-fog that cleared up in July. I wrote it off to my age catching up to me and then one day in July it was gone. Crazy.
Caught RSV 7 weeks ago. That sucked too with after effects lasting a month.
