@TruthSandwich @shuttersparks I tend to agree. Depending on the setup, life without a body could be an inner circle of hell experience.
@lauren @TruthSandwich@toad.social Hahaha. Perhaps. But I'll go for that over no experience at all.
@lauren @TruthSandwich@toad.social Indeed. Even my 12 year-old self thought it was silly. At the time I figured it was intended to titillate the male audience, at which it was successful. But the premise made no sense to me even then.
@lauren @TruthSandwich@toad.social It was also a great opportunity for Bill to show off his remarkable talent for titillating costume design. All male eyes riveted to the screen because you just KNOW her clothes are going to fall off. Hahaha. Brilliant, actually.
@shuttersparks @TruthSandwich I mean look at that setup. Collars. Training harnesses. Forced breeding. Pretty obvious stuff.
@shuttersparks @TruthSandwich Great. So your goal is to live forever underground betting on your slaves' "to the death" competitions?
Actually, that was a silly episode. They were idiots to go along with the bet. Not only that, Kirk didn't even really win. The terms were "to the death" and she just surrendered and they said "OK, works for us."
I'm pretty sure that episode was just an excuse for Gene to sneak in some BDSM, as he did in other projects as well.
