So much to unpack in this treasonous tweet by a MAGA extremist member of Congress:
•USA GDP is 29% Red states—71% Blue states
•9 of top 10 states on federal welfare are Red—10 lowest Blue
•9 of top 10 states w/high infant & maternal mortality are Red—10 lowest Blue
•40% higher murder rate in Red states than Blue states
And not only did we already decide in the Civil War that we are ONE nation, Georgia voted Blue in the last Presidential election.🙃
“National divorce” would crush Red states. Smh
Blue states should stop supporting red states financially. Today. This is ridiculous.

@shuttersparks @Snarkycounsel @QasimRashid there’s plenty of ways to adjust funding to red states if you want to. We will never do that even though the right does this to punish us. You can hold up disaster aid and redirect funds, change tax codes, end financial perks for businesses in those states and many other things. We are just too concerned with how it looks to voters even when gop has done this stuff for decades

The original design of the country prevented the federal government from giving welfare to states, but that's all in the trashcan now.
