“Taking a walk.”
“It’s late. Did you bring pepper spray?”
“I couldn’t find it so I brought oregano.”
“Are you planning on getting attacked by a pizza?”
“No one plans on getting attacked by a pizza. It just happens.”

My mom was very much like yours. I have to credit her with my wicked sarcastic style and deadpan delivery.
But I'm old, my mother is long gone, and I must sadly admit that when I was younger I was an idiot, full of hubris, and did not appreciate her nearly as much as I should have.
I'd give a lot for a re-do. We'd have some badass conversations.
@shuttersparks I’m sorry for your loss. It sounds like you still had a lot of good times with her though. But I hear you about a redo. I’m sure if we all had a redo, we’d have some loved one we wish things would have been different with.
Yeah, my mom and I are close, I’m very lucky for that. She is up there in age though and I’m not sure what I’ll do when she passes.
