@lauren Then I guess you're immune to the whole problem -- kind of the definition of an expert. (An expert is one who has made nearly every mistake possible in a given field.)
@shuttersparks On opinion issues I figure if everybody disagrees with me sooner or later, I've probably hit the sweet spot.
@shuttersparks Just waiting for master control to hookup. We've been doing this for so long that sometimes they cut it rather close.
@shuttersparks On the board now, listening to the network fillers.
@shuttersparks Gotta go. About 5 minutes to air. Maybe back after.
@lauren Roger that. I'll be listening
@shuttersparks Topic: iPhone security problems.
@shuttersparks And we're done.
@lauren Nicely done
@shuttersparks Thanks. I lost track long ago of how many hundreds of those I've done, but I still get a *little* bit nervous just before air each time. But apparently the great Greek orators said that was normal before public speaking and a good thing. OK, if they say so.
@lauren Yes. Being a pianist from an early age and learning to deal with stage fright, and having access to professional actors, speakers, and musicians, I frequently discussed this with them. Pretty much all said exactly what you just said. You want a little bit of excitement so you have your edge. Too much and you brain lock. (I knew all about that.)
When I reached the age of about 18, I became so confident that my tension went all the way to zero and I discovered the opposite end of the problem. Yes, you do want a leetle bit of butterflies. Zero is no good.
@lauren I only caught second half of your segment. Something went haywire with the way I normally listen. Halfway through the theme music it just quit. Had to find another source. Hah.
@lauren Welp, back to writing code. Lol.
@shuttersparks Thanks, but I ran out of legs to break many years ago.
