@neil @Ganneff Been on Linux for 17 years now. Linux Mint at present. All devices on my computers and both laptops fully operational without any help from me, including bluetooth. Both printers, one multifunction color inkjet, one laser, configured automatically. Didn't have to find a driver. Nothing.

Six months ago a dear friend (not a computer person, an artist) needed a computer so I bought a notebook for her. Installed Linux Mint and various apps I knew she'd like. (She's only used Windows machines before). Haven't heard a peep from her. Not a single question! And I see her a couple times a week. I sometimes ask how the machine's behaving. "Works great." Doing the updates? "Yup."
