New York Times: Paxlovid Cuts Covid Death Risk. But Those Who Need It Are Not Taking It. "With Covid deaths rising to about 1,500 per week, researchers question why Paxlovid use has remained low among high-risk patients." @ai6yr I'd take it if I could walk to the pharmacy and buy it, like in civilized countries. Lol.
@ai6yr BTW, I'm in the middle of my second round of Covid. Had it two years ago. I'm fully vaxxed and boosted with the lastest as of 30 days ago so I'm guessing it's the JN.1 variant.
@ai6yr When the test came up positive, my first thought was, all righty. Finally, a chance to do radio.
But the first 2-1/2 days of symptoms included severe sinus headache so my brain wasn't willing to do anything more than keep my breathing going.
But today, the sinus headache is down, replaced by sore throat and severe body aches. So there's hope. As long as my brain is working I can do radio.
@darwinwoodka @ai6yr Sorry to hear that. For the first two days, resting up wasn't an option. I could only stay up for 30 to 45 minutes and had to lay down and sleep for 90 minutes. At night I slept for 12 hours straight, which is double my normal.
Today I've been up for 2-1/2 hours so far with no trouble.
@shuttersparks LOL from experience, do NOT TRY TO COPY MORSE CODE with a headache and while wearing headphones.
@ai6yr Hahaha. You know.
@shuttersparks @ai6yr my kid currently has it, reported severe leg aches as well. Rest up!
