We don't have to live this way. Mass shootings are a uniquely American problem. The overwhelming majority of Americans want Congress to take action, and that starts with ending the GOP inaction. This is the time to remind your community that living this way is a choice -- and beginning to do something about the problem starts with voting Republicans out of office: act.indivisible.org/lte/write-

@indivisibleteam Low crime doesn't sell newspapers or garner clicks. The crime rate in the U.S. (with the exception of auto theft) is the lowest it's been since the 1960s. But the media has everyone convinced it's the opposite. Virtually all Republicans and most Democrats think crime is high right now. Because of the gun culture in the U.S., everyone thinks they need guns to protect themselves. Here in West Virginia, anyone who is anyone packs heat -- doctors, nurses, psychologists, businesspeople, expecially women, all of them.

Republicans have argued for 40 years that they're the law-and-order party. (Ignore the fact that most politicians busted for crimes are Republicans). So people vote for Republicans because they are so afraid of a non-existent threat that they carry guns on their person at all times.

@shuttersparks Ramaswamy said in response that, “there’s a psychological sickness in this country”

Yeah, he’s right. It’s called Republicanism.
