That's why Clyburn chose Biden. As part of the deal, Harris became his VP, to be groomed for the job of replacing him. And SC became the first state to hold a primary.
Clyburn played kingmaker, and we owe him our thanks for this. And, bluntly, without Black voters uniting behind Biden, democracy would have fallen in 2020. It was near thing, even so.
