So, the blue empire to the south are fascist hypermilitarized cat people who are demanding land from people and conquering them if they don't just surrender. I am the little megacorp territory in the middle of the galaxy.

My fox/cat peoples planet was destroyed early in their history of FTL travel, leaving the only survivors of their species on board gas giant mining platforms, and those mining companies formed a gvnmt.

the war against the cats (turned out they're stalinists not fascists) did not go well, as you can see. I kept trying to do diplomacy but my federation members would get into wars and i would lose my valuable territory. Now I just have that tiny part of the galactic core left (still very good position cuz I have the only entrances defended with asteroid gun batteries.

way off to the right though, I've managed to find a cluster totally isolated from everyone. im moving there.

I had to quit the federation I founded that was the flagship founding federation of the council so these fucking cats wouldn't wipe me out. This is the first time this game has felt challenging for me in ages I love it.

My plan is to schmooze the cats while building a massive force in my isolated cluster, then constructing gates to connect me to their home system, which I will then capture to keep as a trophy
