I find polish to be one of the most difficult languages to translate with so little experience with it. I can do the dictionary-and-translation-copy thing I’ve always done well enough, but my brain is actively telling me shit that just doesn’t apply because while the word might look like something similar, it certainly doesn’t sound or mean the same thing.
@skells I fell asleep watching BBC4 content, and I think it was Jimmy Carr who made a joke that kept me up a little bit longer, giggling; he said something to the effect of “The German slogan was For Germany, Through Germany, or, through Poland if needs be.”
