if you wanted to have your own Emacs and git setup on a USB, so that you could use it comfortably across PCs and OSs, how would you go about it?
@skells Hrm. I’m not sure; in those circumstances I’d probably put my global .gitconfig and an uncompiled copy of my .emacs.d folder on the disk, as well as the Windows installers for each – Mac, BSD, and Linux you can always get them from homebrew or the distro package manager, given network. Then I’d write three install scripts, two in sh and one in ps1, to put the files where they belong and perform the installs.
