@metalune@fosstodon.org You don't have to be religious to participate in most churches. Most decent ones will be more than happy to have you. IME unless you have a large family or went to the local high school, or live in a pretty urban place (and even then) it's very tough to socialize without one. I've gotten multiple dates, good friends and job offers form being part of one and would highly recommend it.

Plus you're missing out on a significant part of American culture by avoiding it.
