Two new species of tardigrades, Mesobiotus diegoi and Mesobiotus maklowiczi, were discovered by Daniel Stec, a biologist from Kraków, Poland. Anyone who discovers a new species gets to name it. M. diegoi was named after Daniel's collaborator, Diego Fontaneti. M. maklowiczi was named after a guy he often sees doing shopping in Stary Kleparz, Kraków's most famous street market. Robert Makłowicz is a historian and a food celebrity, and a very nice person. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/366325143_An_integrative_description_of_two_new_Mesobiotus_species_Tardigrada_Eutardigrada_Macrobiotidae_with_updated_genus_phylogeny
