There are at least two accounts here that regularly follow me, unfollow, and then follow again in a few days. They have tens of thousands of followers, and follow also tens of thousands. I'm not sure what to do about them. Blocking seems so rude.
@szescstopni Outside of certain accounts (like media, government, etc), I don’t consider blocking rude, I think of it as basic information management and filtering. I block without hesitation for any reason — could just be I think it’s a sketchy account or that I don’t want to see their posts at all. That follow/unfollow pattern sounds spammy, they are just trying to get more people to follow them.
@cbdawson I know what they're after, but I sometimes see one account's toots boosted by people I follow and they're sometimes genuinely funny. So the people I follow are a good filter on their musings. This is what makes it a bit difficult
@szescstopni Yeah, that probably makes it harder. I’m still figuring out mastodon, but doesn’t seem like it has a great solution for something like this.

@szescstopni I disagree. Blocking is the polite thing to do in such an instance.
