There is no trickle-down economy. It's all trickle-up. People with lowest wages, like agriculture and fast-food workers, do the hardest work, but most of the profit goes to those with higher wages – they can eat cheap food and think of new ways to better exploit the hardest working. Like scum, money accumulates at the top.

It's a well known fact that coal miners work really hard. There's a coal mine in rural Eastern Poanad, and I've met many people who worked there. The mine was started in 1970s. One of the guys told me how young people from local small farms flocked there – because the work was light. Eight hours, good pay, benefits. Piece of cake compared to 12 or 16 of extremely hard hours at their fathers' farms. The mine had machines, the small farms had horses. Poor horses.

My grandfather was a coal miner in the pick-and-shovel, 1.3 metre seams days. 64 hour weeks.

I shared my flar temporarily with miners in the English 1970s miners' strike during demonstrations. Still hard work, but not the same.

Those miners were my height ~175 cm, compared with my grandfather, 142 cm.

The worst people to get hit by this pyramid scheme are in my opinion food deliverers. Be it scorching hot sun or freezing cold weather, they are out there delivering the food. Having to deal with the problems on the road, restaurant and also the person they deliver to alike, all at once. They are the ones taking blame for any mishaps happening. And all this for a minimal wage if they are lucky. Meanwhile, food delivery companies are breaking banks.

Gee, I wonder why.

> This election was lost four and six years ago, not this year. They [Republicans] didn’t start thinking of the old common fellow till just as they started out on the election tour. The money was all appropriated for the top in the hopes that it would trickle down to the needy. Mr. Hoover was an engineer. He knew that water trickles down. Put it uphill and let it go and it will reach the driest little spot. But he didn’t know that money trickled up. Give it to the people at the bottom and the people at the top will have it before night, anyhow. But it will at least have passed through the poor fellows hands. They saved the big banks, but the little ones went up the flue.
