For months I’ve been visiting Twitter about once a day — without logging in — because I find the experience instructive:

It shows what’s trending on the site.

Today I discovered that, other than sports, almost everything trending was conspiracy theories and misinformation.

Even the “funny dog account” is getting drowned out.

The takeover of Twitter by a certain kind of talking head feels nearly complete.
