The industries that do damage to our environment are not a tribe, and would generally associate with any politician if that meant to continue.
"Tribal" would mean rather small groups, i do not see small groups competing.
Or... do you mean those that share the profits are a small group, and how the others not managing to organize is the problem, due to the tribal nature? Because we cannot get along well in too big groups?

@admitsWrongIfProven @freemo @trinsec I mean that we don't need any conspiracies or strategies to divide into opposing tribes and waste our efforts on trying to bring each other down. Not from fuel fossil industry, not from shadow cabals, not even from the politicians that exploit this tendency, we're perfectly good at doing it on our own without any outside pressure. Wherever you've got an opinion you've got tribes, wherever you've got tribes you've got radicalising any other opinions to oppose the other guys.
