@tripu Is there any number available of how many journalists in total are women? I cannot interpret this without that information - could mean that
- women are targeted specifically
- men are targeted specifically
- no specific targeting takes place
Yes, I had the same question. I want to find the data. afaik, and at least in my country (Spain), there are _more_ female journalists than male journalists.
Still, the answer doesn't absolve UN Women, because they've stated their point of view regardless of the actual ratio and without contrasting the % or murdered female journos with % of female journos overall.
@tripu I could not find anything on ratios by country, mainly some numbers on the usa. Seems there it is 30%-50% women, depending on who you believe.
