I don't like #pets, and I don't understand the concept of keeping pets in urban environments.
Very few species are adapted to live well in an apartment, right? Some cat breeds, rodents, what else?
It always seemed cruel to me.
@tripu I would not go to cruelty when a simpler explanation exists: the need for companionship, and a readily available ability to rationalize things.
I don't think any notable amount of people that have pets in urban environments are cruel. They are lonely and not aware of consequences, most likely.
