unironically this is the same people who say having to have a photo ID to vote is racism but you need a background check to buy something you have the inalienable right to purchase.
@icedquinn It seems to me that recent mass shootings are also mental heath related, so maybe what is needed is an effort to deal with those issues, then the gun / mass shooting issue may sort itself out.

@zleap it's only going to get worse because when punishment schedules are tied to medical history people will avoid treatment. i already avoided psychiatric treatment in some ways because having it on your medical record can be weaponized by lawyers.

@zleap its a Florida law that lets you self commit for something like 24 hours but they aren't allowed to record it so there is no punishment schedule (it doesn't "count" as being committed.)
