unironically this is the same people who say having to have a photo ID to vote is racism but you need a background check to buy something you have the inalienable right to purchase.

@icedquinn It seems to me that recent mass shootings are also mental heath related, so maybe what is needed is an effort to deal with those issues, then the gun / mass shooting issue may sort itself out.

@zleap it's only going to get worse because when punishment schedules are tied to medical history people will avoid treatment. i already avoided psychiatric treatment in some ways because having it on your medical record can be weaponized by lawyers.

@icedquinn So laws need to be put in place to stop that, people go through bad times, they turn their lives around and should be allowed to do so.
