fun KDE trick: when gwenview gets super slow to switch between photos in a folder, the culprit is the thumbnails subsystem. It has no indexing or works very poorly and looking up thumbnail by hash takes forever. You get this after looking at too many pictures. delete ~/.cache/thumbnails to fix it lol
