I've said it before and I'll say it again, public services and governments are not qualified to understand the ramifications of not safeguarding citizen ID data. The UK government needs to stop it's various ID proposals and destroying anonymity. Plus encryption isn't optional.

The ffedi has this facility to handle online ids sois this possible without a government id
Hence if we have a solution that is specific to an instance it makes that one instance more
We already have a way to verify accounts surely online id verification is an extension of that.
